This site is the personal portfolio of Elmaz Nikšić. This page explains exactly what it collects, why, and how long it keeps it.
When you use the contact form
The name, email address, subject and message you submit are sent to my inbox by email so I can reply. Your IP address is recorded in that email to help identify spam. This data is processed only so I can respond to your enquiry. It is never used for marketing and never sold.
Visitor statistics
If you allow analytics, each visit records the time, your IP address, browser, operating system, device type, screen resolution and browser language. That tells me roughly who reads the site. If you decline, nothing is recorded and no request is sent.
Cookies
Three functional cookies are used: your language choice, your light or dark theme choice, and your answer to the analytics question. They contain no identifiers and are used for neither tracking nor advertising. No third-party cookies are set.
Who else sees this data
The site is hosted on Vercel. Contact messages are delivered by my email provider. Visitor statistics are stored in MongoDB Atlas. Each acts as a processor on my behalf. Nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers.
How long it is kept
Visitor statistics are deleted automatically twelve months after they are recorded. Contact messages stay in my mailbox for as long as the conversation is relevant.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or withdraw your analytics consent at any time by clearing this site's cookies. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
